By The Way is a collection of songs gathering some of the best songwriters currently based in Berlin.

This project started out inspired by the amazing voices and musical talents heard across the city linked to it being a meeting point for live performers and street musicians. As it is known, some even consider Berlin as being one of the best cities for busking in Europe. Bridging this to the idea of producing an acoustic album came quite naturally.

At first, producers Massimo Capobianco and Ella Veyt wandered about the city with their ears wide open to reach out for the greatest voices along the way. But word-of-mouth was a major trigger that brought to them good part of the musicians present in this collection.

To capture the natural feeling of the musicians’ live performances, all songs were recorded as played on the streets, without any additional overdubs, at Funkhaus Studios, one of the most vibrant world class recording locations.
